Please join us for the Grand Opening of the Millstone Hill Touring Center, Central Vermont's new non-motorized Recreation Center. Come and experience the miles and miles of new trails recently created connecting over 3 dozen historic quarries on 1,500 acres of Barre's historic quarry lands, Central Vermont's man made natural wonder.

Saturday, June 18th

The day for bikes to discover and explore Millstone Hill

10:00 a.m. - 1 hour guided tour of Millstone Hill single track trails. Intermediate to advanced riders only. Meet at the Touring Center. Sign up by 9:30 am

12:00 p.m. - Noon kids ride! Ages 8 and up. Half an hour to 45 minutes ride on quarry roads and easy single track trails. Meet at the Touring Center. Sign up by 11:30 a.m.

4:00 p.m. - Millstone Hill Grand Tour. Guided tour by Pete Richardson, designer of Millstone Hills single track trail system. An advanced 1 ½ - 2 hour ride. The ultimate ride for those who want the ultimate Millstone Hill experience. Meet at the Touring Center. Sign up by 3:30 p.m.

**Special opening weekend promotion - Buy 1 day pass, ride to evaluate trails and if you then would like seasons pass, apply the day ticket cost to the season's pass!!!

First Annual Historic Quarry Appreciation Day to Benefit the Barre Granite Museum.

Sunday, June 19th

Come join us for several walking and biking historic quarry tours for what we hope will become an annual event. This is a rare opportunity to explore on foot or bikes Barre's unique historic quarry lands. See some of Vermont's most unusual terrain and learn about Barre's unique granite history.

10:30 a.m. - 1st Annual Father - Son/Daughter ride! - Approximately 1 hour ride. Meet at the Touring Center. Sign up by 10:00 a.m

2:00 p.m. - Historic Quarry Tour. Tour of 2 dozen Historic Quarries. Tour given by Todd Patton, Director of Rock of Ages Tours Center, Tess Taylor, General Manager of Barre's Granite Museum and Pierre Couture Owner of Millstone Hill. This is a rare chance to see these historic quarries and learn about their history. Meet at The Lodge at Millstone Hill. Sign up by 1:45 p.m.

4:00 p.m. - 1st Annual Fathers only ride. This ride will kick it up a notch from the morning ride. 1 hour intense ride. Meet at the Touring center. Sign up by 3:30 p.m.

4:30 p.m. - Seniors Garden Walk and Historic Quarry Lecture. 45 minute tour of Millstone Hills extensive gardens and a leisurely walk through the property, with visits to several quarries. Meet at the Touring Center. Sign up by 4:15 p.m.

**Proceeds from $5.00 charge for all events listed above go directly to support the Barre Granite Museum.

Millstone Hill Touring & Ski Center's mission is:

1) To create one of Vermont's most unique non-motorized recreational areas in hopes of fostering and promoting local economic development

2) To provide Central Vermont residents with accessible and affordable non-motorized recreational opportunities.

3) To draw enthusiasts regionally and nationally to Central Vermont to experience this unique setting for recreation.

4) To work in conjunction with other Central Vermont organizations such as the Granite Museum and State History Museum in making locals and tourist alike more aware and appreciative of Barre's fascinating Granite heritage
