The Barn

This classic, five story New England Barn was built in the 1890's to shelter horses used to transport granite from the quarries. In 1980 it was transformed by the owner of Millstone Hill, Pierre Couture into a residence and office. The Barn now has a storybook quality that also reflects the country charm of Vermont. The 1500 square foot open floor plan is filled with antiques and has been described as part tree house, part castle. From the loft bedroom, sunken dining room, and large living room, you can look out at the beautiful countryside and magnificent mountains that surround you. The glassed-in Garden Room, with adjoining out-door terrace and hot-tub, is the perfect place to sit and listen to the running waters of the nearby stream as it passes through the extensive landscaped gardens.
